The Okanagan Valley Entrepreneurs Society is dedicated to maintaining the privacy of our subscribers and members. Once you become an OVES subscriber, we assure you that your personal information will be exclusively used to provide you with the products or services you requested. At no time will we ever share your information with any third party without your express consent. In some cases you can contract services or make payments to OVES and you will be asked to provide contact and payment information, including your name, address, phone number and email address and billing and/or credit card information. In the normal course of providing our services, we also create and maintain other information such as account status, system usage, plan type and support requests.

All information collected by OVES will be used for the sole purpose of maintaining our relationship with you as a subscriber or member. How does OVES use subscriber and member information?

• We do not sell or rent subscriber or member information.
  
• We use subscriber or member information to notify you of special events, networking opportunities, OVES programs, system and service related issues, newly added services or features and any other communication deemed relevant to the continuance of our service.
  
• We may share member information with other members in our Member Directory, or when a member has requested a service or product provided by that company. The information given will only be that which is necessary to implement the service or product requested.
  
• Domain registration information becomes public record in the universally available Whois database when a member provides their domain information in the Member Directory. As required by law, we will disclose Member information to name, contact, or bring legal action against persons causing harm or interfering with the rights or property of OVES, our subscribers and members.
  

How does OVES use cookies? Cookies are pieces of information generated by a Web server and stored on a user's computer. OVES does not use cookies to track or collect information specific to the web activities of our members. We exclusively use cookies to authenticate users accessing the Members Area of our website and to securely store login data. We use a session cookie, which allows the cookie to remain active only while your browser is open. After the browser is closed, the cookie expires.
